The Full Story
This is CeramicsJourney
Hi, I’m Amanda, the person behind CeramicsJourney.
My journey with ceramics began with my first wheel throwing session in 2023. My passion quickly evolved through hands-on learning, practice, and time spent in studios around the world. In 2024, I decided to make ceramics my full-time focus, and CeramicsJourney grew into a space shaped by experimenting, learning, and sharing knowledge. That same year, I held around 130 pottery workshops and welcomed nearly 1,000 workshop guests. In 2025, I deepened my practice through further study in Japan and a six-month internship with master potter Eric Landon.
CeramicsJourney is about making ceramics approachable, staying curious, and creating with intention.

What I stand for
CeramicsJourney is rooted in the belief that learning ceramics and creating handmade pieces should feel intentional and enjoyable. I value hands-on practice, curiosity, and taking the time to truly understand the process. Sharing knowledge openly is an important part of my work. I don’t believe in perfection, and doing things wrong is a very human part of learning. I share my experiences not to show a right way, but to learn, grow, and figure things out together.
What I'm creating
CeramicsJourney is a space that brings together creating my own ceramic pieces, experimenting, and teaching ceramics. A place where handmade work and educational content exist side by side. Through workshops, writing, and experiences, I want to support others in their ceramic journey and build a community that help eachother.
